Ed Tech for Language Learning

Latest tech endeavor in my 1st-yr and 2nd-yr classes:

Private Facebook Group for students in a class (or different sections of a class) to post and share video projects.

Pear Deck to engage individual participation in group setting.

Extempore: The Speaking Practice App

It works well for speaking practice! Students can record on their phones and submit audio and video speaking assignments. I grade them on my phone as well (or on my computer), and can do it much faster than other platform. I publish their grades right away with feedback (either typed in English/Chinese, or record an audio). Students can view feedback instantly!

Very user friendly! Audio and video quality is great!  Highly recommend!

Cost: $4.99 per student for 1 year subscription. You can ask for a prorated quote and get the 30-day trial to test it first!

Publish and share student work on Chinese4u.edublogs.org.
